Christ the King Named Alumni Scholarships

Currently three Christ the King Families generously offer a yearly scholarship to honor their sons.  

The Cullen Hughes Memorial Scholarship

Established in 1987, this scholarship is awarded each year to a graduating CK 8th Grader who will be attending a Catholic High School.  The amount awarded is for each of the four high school years.  The 8th Grade applicants must write an essay and submit two letters of recommendation. Details will be given to the 8th grade students in the spring.  The scholarship is presented at the graduation ceremony. 

The Matthew Lee Bailey CK‘94 Scholarship

Established in 2007, this scholarship is awarded to an 8th grade student who will be attending Mt. Carmel High School.  The amount awarded is for the student’s freshman year. The 8th Grade applicants must write an essay.  Details will be given to the 8th grade students accepted to Mt. Carmel High School in the spring.  The scholarship is presented at the graduation ceremony. 

The Ryan Healy CK‘88  Memorial Scholarship

Established in 2013, this scholarship is awarded to a student attending Christ the King who has a parent in the Law Enforcement profession.  The amount awarded is 1 Full Tuition for the following school year. The applicants must write an essay, which will be read with the student’s grade level in mind.  Details will be given to all students from a Law Enforcement Family in the spring. The scholarship is presented at the last Mass of the school year.
